KA attenuated IR induced apoptosis. ad Western blot analysis and histograms of apoptosis markers: Bcl-2, BAX and caspase3. After IR surgery, the apoptosis related factors BAX and Caspase 3 increased. KA reduced the expressions of BAX and Caspase 3, without improved the anti-apoptotic factor Bcl-2. However, the ratio of Bcl-2/BAX increased in IR + KA group, meaning a anti-apoptotic effect of KA on IR.
